Proophy Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2 February 2026
Service: Proophy (Telegram Mini App)
Contact: Telegram @proophy • Email hi@proophy.com

This Privacy Policy explains how Proophy ("Proophy", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Proophy Telegram Mini App (the "Service").

If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the Service.

1) Relationship with Telegram

The Service runs inside Telegram as a Mini App. Telegram processes certain data independently under its own policies and terms (for example, your Telegram account data and platform-level operations). Telegram’s policies and terms apply to Telegram’s processing.

2) What information we process

We apply data minimization: we process only what we need to operate the Service.

A. Account & identity data (from Telegram)

When you launch the Mini App, Telegram provides initialization data that allows us to recognize you (for example, a Telegram user identifier and basic profile fields available in the Telegram context). We use this to authenticate you and keep your session tied to your Telegram account.

B. Role and workspace data

  • Your selected role (Customer or Freelancer)
  • Projects (e.g., project name and state such as pinned/archived)
  • Tasks (type, description, status history, deadlines if used)

C. Communications inside the Service

  • Q&A (questions and answers tied to a task)
  • Revision requests / comments
  • Support or issue reports you submit in the Service

D. Files and media you upload

  • Input files (uploaded by Customers) and output files (uploaded by Freelancers)
  • Minimal file metadata needed to store, display, and allow download (e.g., file type/size)

E. Stars-related records shown inside the Service

The Service may display a Stars balance and task-related Stars events (e.g., reserved/locked/unlocked/credited events) within the Service’s logic.

F. Basic service logs

We may keep limited logs needed for security, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention (for example, time of requests and error reports). We do not use logs to build advertising profiles.

G. Analytics data (Telegram Mini Apps Analytics SDK)

We use Telegram Mini Apps Analytics SDK to measure service performance and usage events (for example, feature interactions and technical diagnostics). This analytics processing is used for product and reliability purposes and is not used to build advertising profiles.

H. Translation data

If you use auto-translation features, relevant text content may be sent to Google Translate Cloud API to generate translations and return translated text in the Service.

3) How we use information

We use information to:

Provide the Service

  • Create and manage projects and tasks
  • Show task boards/lists and status changes
  • Enable Q&A and revision workflows
  • Store and deliver uploaded files

Operate Stars-based access mechanics

  • Display Service-related Stars information
  • Record and apply task-related Stars events (e.g., reserving/unlocking after approval)

Support, moderation, and dispute handling

  • Respond to requests and problem reports submitted via the Service
  • Investigate misuse, fraud, or policy violations

Security and integrity

  • Protect accounts, content, and the Service from unauthorized access and abuse
  • Maintain stability and reliability

Legal compliance

  • Comply with lawful requests and applicable legal obligations

Analytics and product improvement

  • Measure reliability and feature usage via Telegram Mini Apps Analytics SDK
  • Analyze aggregate usage trends to improve Service quality and stability

Translation features

  • Provide optional auto-translation of task-related text via Google Translate Cloud API

4) Legal bases (where applicable)

Depending on your jurisdiction, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases:

  • Contract / performance of a service (to provide core functionality you request)
  • Legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, service reliability, dispute resolution)
  • Consent (only where we explicitly ask for it, e.g., optional communications)

5) How we share information

We do not sell your personal data.

We may share information only as necessary:

  • Service providers (processors): Hosting, storage, and infrastructure providers that help us run the Service. They are authorized to process data only under our instructions and confidentiality obligations.
  • Telegram: As the platform hosting the Mini App and Stars ecosystem, Telegram processes certain data under its own terms and policies.
  • Translation provider: If translation is used, relevant text may be processed by Google Cloud (Google Translate Cloud API) to produce translated output.
  • Legal and safety: If required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, and integrity of users and the Service.

6) Data retention

We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy:

  • Account linkage & role: while you use the Service and as needed for security and dispute resolution.
  • Projects, tasks, Q&A, revisions: while you keep them in the Service (including archived states) and as needed for dispute handling.
  • Files: while the related project/task exists (including archived states) or until deletion is requested and permitted.
  • Stars-related records: as needed to display history and resolve issues within the Service.
  • Security logs: for a limited period appropriate to security and troubleshooting needs.

We may retain some information longer where required by law or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

7) Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data, including access controls and safeguards designed for a Telegram Mini App environment. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to reduce risk.

8) Your rights and choices

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • Access information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Request deletion of certain information
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Receive a copy of information you provided (data portability), where applicable
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

To submit a request: contact us via Telegram @proophy or email hi@proophy.com. We may ask for reasonable information to verify your identity (e.g., confirming your Telegram username) before fulfilling a request.

9) Children

The Service is not intended for use by children where prohibited by local law. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us, contact @proophy or hi@proophy.com.

10) International transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than where you live (for example, where our infrastructure providers operate). We take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate safeguards consistent with this Policy and applicable law.

11) Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version in the Service with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.

12) Important notice about Telegram Stars

  • Telegram Stars are digital items within the Telegram ecosystem.
  • Stars are not money, are not a currency, and have no value outside Telegram.
  • Proophy is not a financial or payment institution and does not provide banking services.
